BehavePlus 7 Redesigning wildfire modeling software to reduce complexity and improve accessibility

BehavePlus is a wildfire behavior modeling system used by researchers, educators, and fire management professionals to simulate fire spread and environmental conditions. Despite its scientific power, the software had a steep learning curve that made it difficult for new users to adopt. This project focused on redesigning the user experience to simplify complex workflows, reduce cognitive load, and make wildfire modeling tools more accessible while preserving the scientific rigor of the model.
